Application: Screen Recorder - Video Editor

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Orange Island Labs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you use Screen Recorder - Video Editor (the "Application", "App", or "Service").

The App is an iOS utility application distributed through the Apple App Store. The App does not require users to create an in-app account.

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

2. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to Screen Recorder - Video Editor and to the information processed when you download, install, access, purchase, subscribe to, or use the App. Contact details are provided in the "Contact Us" section below.

3. Summary of Our Data Practices

4. Information We May Collect

4.1 Information You Provide to Us

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:

4.2 Screen Recording, Audio, and Media Content

When you initiate recording or editing features, the App may process:

This content is processed to record, import, edit, trim, add captions, scrolling text, stickers, music, voice-overs, speed and volume adjustments, visual adjustments, watermarks and covers, preview, export, save, play, rename, delete, or share your media. It is stored locally and is not automatically uploaded by us.

4.3 App Usage and Device Information

For support, registration reporting, subscription reporting, security, troubleshooting, and service reliability, we may process technical information such as:

4.4 Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase or restore a subscription or other in-app purchase, we may receive or process limited purchase-related information from Apple and StoreKit, including:

We do not receive your full payment card number, bank account details, or Apple Account password.

4.5 Local App Data

Local app data may include:

Deleting the App, clearing app data, changing devices, device failure, or system cleanup may delete local app data.

4.6 AI Image Generation Data

AI image generation is optional. Before the App sends data for the first AI image generation request, it explains the data sharing and asks for your consent. If you do not consent, no AI image generation request is sent, and you can continue using the App's recording and non-AI editing features.

When you consent and request an AI-generated image, the following information is sent to Orange Island Labs servers:

To generate the requested image, we share your text prompt and the necessary generation settings with xAI, provided by SpaceXAI LLC, a third-party artificial intelligence service provider. We do not intentionally send your screen recordings, imported media, voice recordings, purchase history, email address, or contact information to xAI for AI image generation.

Do not include your name, contact details, account credentials, precise location, health information, financial information, or other sensitive personal information in an AI prompt. AI-generated results may be inaccurate, unexpected, or similar to results generated for other users.

5. Device Permissions Checklist

The App may request device permissions only when needed for specific features.

5.1 Photo Library Permission

Access to these granular media permissions is requested exclusively when you voluntarily use the built-in video editor or media toolkit. It allows you to browse, select, and import locally saved image or video assets into the editing workspace. We only access files explicitly selected by you, and no local media content is ever automatically synchronized or uploaded to our servers.

5.2 Microphone Permission

Microphone access is used when you choose to record a voice-over in the video editor. The voice-over is stored locally as part of your editing project and is not automatically uploaded by us.

5.3 Screen Recording

Screen recording is used only when you initiate it. Screen content is captured and processed locally through Apple's ReplayKit and the App's Broadcast Upload Extension.

5.4 Network Access

Network access may be used for AI image generation, feedback submission, registration reporting, subscription reporting, opening legal links, opening subscription management, app store links, or other support-related online features.

5.5 Permission Controls

You may manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.

6. Third-Party Services and Platform Providers

We may use third-party service providers and platform services that are actually relevant to the App:

7. How We Use Information

We use information to:

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal data based on one or more of the following:

9. How We Share Information

We may share information only as described below:

10. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Network requests are transmitted over HTTPS, and certain requests may also use encrypted request bodies. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your device, operating system, Apple Account, device backup, and local files secure.

13. Your Choices and Controls

Depending on your device, region, and the App features, you may:

14. Regional Privacy Notice and Supplemental Rights

Users in the EEA, EU, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, other U.S. states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other regions may have privacy rights under applicable local laws. These rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, portability, opt-out rights, appeal rights, and complaint rights.

You may submit a privacy request through the contact method in the "Contact Us" section. We may need to verify your request before responding. Because the App does not require account registration, we may ask for information sufficient to locate relevant records, such as support email history, app-generated identifier, transaction identifier, purchase receipt, device platform, or other information you voluntarily provide.

If a regional privacy law gives you greater rights than the general terms of this Privacy Policy, the applicable regional law will control for users protected by that law.

15. Age Requirement and Minors' Privacy

The App is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. People under 18 should not use the App or submit AI prompts, feedback, or other information through it.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided information through the App, please contact us using the information below to request deletion.

16. No In-App User Account

The App does not require users to create an in-app account. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and are associated with your Apple Account, not an in-app account.

Because we may not have a direct user account record for you, certain data access or deletion requests may require you to provide information sufficient for us to locate relevant records.

17. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete local app data by deleting content inside the App where supported or uninstalling the App. Subscription cancellation must be handled separately through Apple App Store settings.

18. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, app stores, subscription management pages, support pages, or payment platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Please review their privacy policies before using their services.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the App, on our website, or through other appropriate channels. The "Last Updated" date indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
